Representative Text

1 Trust in Jesus, trembling soul,
Nor fear the shadows dim,
Though around thee, storms may roll,
Sweet peace abides with him.
He will keep the when the darkness falls upon thy way,
Guiding thee by his own light,
Till thou shalt find the day.

Refrain:
Rest, trembling soul, upon the Saviour’s breast;
Naught shall disturb thy peaceful rest;
For the angels about thee faithful watch will keep;
Rest, trembling soul;
Rest, sweetly rest.

2 From the world, and from its strife,
In Jesus safely hide;
Find the calm and blessed life,
Close to his wounded side;
Ever learning more and more,
The secrets of his love,
Till on Eden’s fadeless shore,
We join the song above. [Refrain]
