Under the Snow

Representative Text

1 Under the snow so white and deep,
Dear little flow'rs are fast asleep,
Hidden all safely from the storm,
Under a blanket white and warm.

Chorus:
Sleep, little flowers, sleep 'neath the snow,
Till bright the sun of spring shall glow;
Sleep, softly sleep, sleep, sleep, sleep,
Till bright the sun of spring shall glow!

2 Soon shall the rain with joyful sound
Tap at the doorways of the ground,
Calling: "O little flow'rs arise,
Sunshine is gleaming in the skies." [Chorus]

3 Then all arrayed in colors bright,
Beautiful flow'rs shall greet the sight,
Dear summer flow'rs long hidden low,
Under a shining robe of snow. [Chorus]
