Ved del cielo descendiendo

Representative Text

1 Ved del cielo descendiendo
Al triunfante Redentor;
En su majestad tremenda
Aparece el Salvador.
Su justicia
En la tierra reinará.

2 Vedlo todos, revestido
De divina claridad:
Los que a Cristo habéis vendido,
Los que llenos de maldad,
Con escarnio
Le llamasteis malhechor.

3 Muestra ahora las heridas
Que le hicieron en la cruz;
Las señales estampadas
En su cuerpo, que, a la luz
De la gloria,
Encarecen su piedad.

4 Cristo, rey, te veneramos
En tu augusto tribunal;
Nuestras frentes inclinamos
Ante Ti, Dios eternal,
Juez divino,
Todo ser te temerá.
