Sunbeams

Representative Text

1. We are little sunbeams when we wear
Bright and happy faces everywhere;
Happy in the schoolroom, glad at play,
Cheery at our duties every day.

Chorus:
Sunbeams, sunbeams, we are little sunbeams,
Shining for the Saviour day by day.
Sunbeams, sunbeams, merry little sunbeams,
Chasing gloomy shadows all away.

2. We are little sunbeams when we speak
Kind and gentle accents, soft and meek.
Loving words are always full of cheer,
Blessing like the sunshine those who hear. [Chorus]

3. We are little sunbeams when we do
Kind and helpful actions, sweet and true.
Little hands are ready aid to show,
Little feet are willing, swift to go. [Chorus]

4. If we would be sunbeams, fair and bright,
Making all around us glad and light;
We must pray the Father up above,
That we may be ever filled with love. [Chorus]
