Representative Text

1 We are soldiers of the Master,
Ever ready sword in hand;
Waiting for our marching orders,
To be sent on service grand.

Refrain:
Waiting for our marching orders,
Ready when the word is given,
Proudly then we hasten forward
For the mighty King of heaven.

2 In the night may come the summons,
But we murmur not a word;
We obey our marching orders,
For the sake of Christ, our Lord. [Refrain]

3 Tho’ but death there lies before us,
Bravely still we take our way;
If He gives the marching orders,
We will gladly all obey. [Refrain]
