Representative Text

1 We’ll never be late to Sabbath school,
We’ll come at the opening hour;
To help all our teachers, it is the rule
To do all within our pow’r.

Chorus:
We’ll never be late, no, we’ll never be late;
And this is an excellent rule,
For teachers and scholars, for parents and friends,
To always come early to school;
We’ll never be late to Sabbath school,
We’ll come at the opening hour;
To help all our teachers, it is the rule
To do all within our pow’r.

2 Thro’ all the long week ‘twill be our rule
To study the lesson giv’n;
And then Sabbath morning to haste to school
That we may prepare for heav’n. [Chorus]
