Martha Elizabeth Duncan Walker Cook USA 1806-1874. Born in Northcumberland County, PA, she married Rev. Parsons Cook, editor of a Boston paper called “The Puritan Recorder”. She contributed to, and for a time, was editor of the “Continental Monthly”. She translated “The life of Chopin”, by Franz Liszt, from the French in 1863.
