Representative Text

1 When clouds of trouble gather near,
And fill our souls with doubt and fear,
Though friends grow cold and disappear,
We’ll find no change in Jesus.

Refrain:
No change in him, no change in him,
All glory to his precious name!
For us his love remains the same;
We find no change in Jesus.

2 When foes surprise and lay us low,
And swell our hearts with pain and woe,
And friends, unheeding, onward go,
We’ll find no change in Jesus. [Refrain]

3 When fortune turns from us away,
And poverty our lives display,
Though friends their shallow hearts betray,
We’ll find no change in Jesus. [Refrain]

4 And so ‘twill be until the end;
We’ll ever have a precious friend
Upon whose love we may depend;
We’ll find no change in Jesus. [Refrain]
