Refrain:
Wait a little while,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
Wait a little while,
Then we’ll sing the New Song.

1 When Gabriel blows his trumpet loud,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
And Christ descends on the snow-white cloud,
Then we’ll sing the New Song. [Refrain]

2 When Jesus comes to claim His bride,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
And steals away the sanctified,
Then we’ll sing the New Song. [Refrain]

3 Some day we’ll drink the King’s new wine,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
And like the stars in glory shine,
Then we’ll sing the New Song. [Refrain]

4 When we shall reach the golden shore,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
And meet the loved ones gone before,
Then we’ll sing the New Song. [Refrain]

5 When all our vict’ries here are won,
Then we’ll sing the New Song;
And we surround the great white throne,
Then we’ll sing the New Song. [Refrain]
