Representative Text

1 When I became weary and tired of sin,
Then Jesus came into my heart;
He knocked at my door and I bade him come in,
Then Jesus came into my heart.

Refrain:
Yes, Jesus came into my heart!
Yes, Jesus came into my heart!
He bade all my doubtings and sorrows depart,
When Jesus came into my heart!

2 I longed to be pure and for holiness cried,
Then Jesus came into my heart;
He took out my sin when the blood was applied,
When Jesus came into my heart. [Refrain]

3 When friends I once trusted no longer proved true,
Then Jesus came into my heart;
Such sweet, holy friendship my soul never knew,
Till Jesus came into my heart. [Refrain]

4 Now life is a pleasure and blessing to live,
Since Jesus came into my heart;
My service for others I joyfully give,
Since Jesus came into my heart. [Refrain]
