When the Savior sends us on a mission here

Representative Text

1 When the Saviour sends us on a mission here below,
Trusting Him with joy we go,
Tho’ our journey be across the wild and stormy sea,
He will keep us safe we know.

Refrain:
We will praise the Lord in glory,
Tell the nations of His love,
Till the sound of sacred story
Echoes ‘round the throne above.

2 Many times we meet with trials that seem hard to bear,
But the Lord is always fair,
On the darkest day, when black and gloomy seems the way,
He is with us ev’rywhere. [Refrain]

3 So wherever Christ shall send us with a word of cheer,
We will go and never fear,
For the blessed Lord has promised in His Holy Word,
That to us He’ll e’er be near. [Refrain]
