Representative Text

1 When the trumpet sounds announcing Jesus near,
With the heav’nly angels’ voices ringing clear,
We will join the chorus as we catch the chord,
Singing hallelujahs to our coming Lord.

Refrain:
We’ll be waiting, we’ll be watching
When our Savior comes from glory;
We’ll be waiting, we’ll be watching,
And shout when Jesus comes.

2 Patiently we’re trusting, waiting not in vain,
Knowing that our Savior soon will come again,
In the blessèd Bible, God has made it known
That some day He’s coming back to claim His own. [Refrain]

3 While we wait His coming, let us labor fast,
Using every moment as it were the last;
Morning, noon and evening let us watch and pray;
It may be our Lord and Savior’s coming day. [Refrain]
