Representative Text

1 Where the fight is hardest and the heroes fall,
Where the night is darkest and the lost ones call,
Master, I would follow, follow only Thee—
Here am I; send me!

Refrain:
Here am I; send me!
Here am I; send me!
If it only be on an errand for Thee—
Here am I; send me!

2 Where the need is greatest, I would bravely stand,
Fearless, brave, and loyal, with a helping hand,
Here am I for service whatsoe’er it be—
Here am I; send me! [Refrain]

3 Where Thy hand would lead me over all the world,
I would gladly follow till there is unfurled
Thy blest banner waving over hearts set free—
Here am I; send me! [Refrain]
