Henry Barnett Beegle was born on December 13, 1818. He be­longed to the New Jer­sey Con­fer­ence of the Meth­od­ist de­nom­in­a­tion at one time. He re­signed from the min­is­try around 1875 to become the first su­per­in­tend­ent of the Ocean Grove New Jer­sey Camp Meet­ing As­so­ci­a­tion.
