Representative Text

1 Ye slumbering Christians, arouse ye, awake!
The captives to free and the strongholds to take!
So many are out in the byways of sin,
And Jesus entreats you to gather them in.

Refrain:
Ye slumbering Christians, arise and go forth;
Go gather immortals of infinite worth.

2 Go forward! Go forward, and prove by your toil,
That God’s Holy Spirit is leading the while!
True faith and good works go together alway,
And blessings await for the souls that obey. [Refrain]

3 Your beautiful garments, O Zion, put on,
And labor with zeal for the Infinite One!
Go forth with your hearts overflowing with love,
And win precious souls for the kingdom above. [Refrain]
