Yo traigo mi pecado

Representative Text

1 Yo traigo mi pecado
A Cristo el Salvador,
Cordero inmaculado
De Dios, mi rey de amor.
De mi maldad el peso
Acepta el Salvador:
De culpa libre, ileso
Me veo por su amor.

2 Mi culpa el inocente
Jesús pagó por mí,
Quitando de mi frente
La mancha carmesí;
Su sangre muy preciosa
El alma limpiará,
La cual, al fin gloriosa,
Con Cristo morará.

3 Con gran amor me invita
Al goce de quietud;
En Él de paz habita
Perfecta plenitud.
Él en mis desazones
Acude con amor,
Y con sus bendiciones
Me da consolación.

4 Con Cristo estar quisiera
Ya libre de mi mal,
Allí donde me espera
Descanso celestial,
Uniendo con los santos
Mi férvida oración,
Para entonar los cantos
De la eternal mansión.

In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >
