Representative Text

1 Yours was a wondrous story
Down thru the years,
Sign of a people’s glory,
Stay for their fears.

Refrain:
Flag of the brave,
Flag of the true,
Flag of our fathers,
We follow you,
May we be loyal,
Flag of the free,
Till thru the world’s dominions,
Freedom shall be.

2 How could we fail to follow
Flag of our pride!
For you our fathers suffered,
For you they died. [Refrain]

3 Where shot and shell were thickest,
There you were found;
When men and guns were failing,
You stood your ground. [Refrain]
