John W. Bischoff was born on November 1850 in Chicago and died in 1909 in Washington, DC. Blind from age two, Bischoff went on to become a noted organist, compiler of musical collections, and composer. His works include: Crystal Songs, with Otis F. Presbrey (Toledo, Ohio: W. W.
