Like Jesus

Hymnal: The Little Sower for Sabbath Schools #92 (1870) First Line: I want to be like Jesus Lyrics: 1 I want to be like Jesus, So lowly and so meek; For no one marked an evil word, That ever heard him speak. I want to be like Jesus, So frequently is prayer, Alone upon the mountain top, He met his Father there. I want to be like Jesus, So lowly and so meek; For no one marked an evil word, That ever heard him speak. 2 I want to be like Jesus, For I never, never find That he, though persecuted, was To any one unkind. I want to be like Jesus, Engaged in doing good, So that it may of me be said, She hath done what she could. I want to be like Jesus, For I never, never find That he, though persecuted, was To any one unkind. Tune Title: [I want to be like Jesus]

I want to be like Jesus

Hymnal: The New Sabbath School Hosanna #182d (1870) Lyrics: 1 I want to be like Jesus, So lowly and so meek; For no one mark'd an angry word That ever heard him speak. I want to be like Jesus, So frequently in prayer; Alone upon the mountain-top He met his Father there. 2 I want to be like Jesus; I never, never find That he, though persecuted, was To say one unkind. I want to be like Jesus, Engaged in doing good, So that of me it may be said, "She hath done what she could." 3 I want to be like Jesus, So lowly and so meek: For no one mark'd an angry word That ever heard him speak. Alas! I'm not like Jesus, As any one may see; O gentle Saviour, send thy grace, And make me like to thee.

I want, I want, I want to be like Jesus
