Teasley entered the ministry of the Church of God denomination in 1896, and pastored in New York. Sometime after 1910, he became General Manager of the Gospel Trumpet Company, where he worked until 1917. He then worked as general manager of Warner Press (1917-18). 1870 - 1937 Composer of "[No hay amigo como Cristo]" in El Nuevo Himnario Popular (Edicion Revisada y Corregida) M. J. Babbitt was born in 1870 in Fulton County, Ill. He married Eva Roe in 1892. He was a singer who traveled as part of a team to various evangelistic meetings with the Southern Baptist Convention. He died in 1937 in Galesburg, Ill. Dianne Shapiro
