1 The world is bowed down by its toiling and care,
And many have burdens to bear;
Then hasten the load of another to share,
As Jesus has done for you.

2 Lost multitudes stray in the desert of sin,
The Saviour is calling them in,
Go, tell of His love and the wanderers win,

3 So many are wounded by sorrow’s keen dart,
Dark shadows beclouding the heart;
O go to them quickly, and comfort impart,
As Jesus has done for you. [Refrain]

4 Yes, some one is always in trial or need,
And troubles for sympathy plead;
O prove your compassion by word and by deed,
As Jesus has done for you. [Refrain]
