1 In the bleak mid-winter
Frosty wind did moan,
Earth stood hard as iron,
Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow,
Fallen snow on snow,
In the bleak mid-winter,
Many years ago.

2 Heaven cannot hold Him
Nor the earth sustain;
Heav'n and earth shall vanish
When He comes to reign;
God Himself became a man—
Born to pay sin's price;
He's the great Redeemer,
Our Lord Jesus Christ.

3 What can I give Him
Needy as I am?
If I were a shepherd,
I would bring a lamb;
If I were a nobleman,
I would do my part;
What can I give Him:
Give Him all my heart.
