156. Oh, the delights, the heavenly joys

1 Oh, the delights, the heavenly joys,
The glories of the place,
Where Jesus sheds the brightest beams
Of His o'erflowing grace!

2 Princes to His imperial name
Bend their bright sceptres down;
Dominions, thrones, and powers rejoice
To see Him wear the crown.

3 Archangels sound His lofty praise
Through every heavenly street;
And lay their highest honors down,
Submissive at His feet.

4 Now to the Lamb, that once was slain,
Be endless blessings paid;
Salvation, glory, joy, remain
forever on Thy head!

5 Thou hast redeemed our souls with blood,
Hast set the prisoners free,
Hast made us kings and priests to God,
And we shall reign with Thee.

Amen.
