492. O God, You Call, Create, and Lead

1 O God, you call, create, and lead.
Your plan provides for every need.
Speak through us to this child, we pray,
and to all children every day.

2 Grant them a vision, clear and free,
of what our human life might be–
of loving service, gladly done,
for great or small, for everyone.

3 Call them to ministries of grace
fit for each age, each time, each place.
Now in this sacrament we, too,
renew our covenant with you.

4 Rekindle now our faith's small flame.
Call us again each one by name.
So may our faith burn bright,
ablaze to warm and lighten all our days.
