334. Apart from Every Worldly Care

1 Apart from ev’ry worldly care,
WE bow before Thee, Lord, in pray’r;
And as our one, our only claim,
We lisp our blessed Jesus’ name.

2 May the blest Spirit, Father, now,
Each heart in holy rev’rence bow;
And may our feeble breathings rise
To Thee like holy sacrifice.

3 Our need is known, for Thou art nigh,
And Thou canst ev’ry need supply;
Boundless, dear Father, is Thy store,
Remember us! we ask no more.
