1 Deine Kirche wartet noch,
Sehnet sich nach oben,
Wo sie, frei von allem Joch,
Dich wird schauend loben.
Sie ist fremd und einsam hier,
Von der Welt geschieden.
Doch, o Jesu, Du bleibst ihr,
Leitest sie in Frieden.

2 Ihre Ruhestätt' ist da,
Wo kein Feind sie störet,
Wo sie, Dir auf ewig nah',
Keine Klage höret.
Wo kein Glied vom Glied sich trennt,
Wo kein Herz erkaltet,
Wo man Liebe völlig kennt,
Wo nur Liebe waltet.

3 Komm, Du heller Morgenstern,
Bleibe nicht mehr lange!
O wir sehn Dein Kommen gern,
