1 Herr, Du bist vorangegangen,
Unsre Stätte ist bereit,
Kommst zurück, uns zu empfangen,
Und zu enden alles Leid.
Eh' noch die Gerichte toben,
Werden wir zu Dir erhoben,
Eh' der Tag des Zorns erscheint,
Hast Du uns mit Dir vereint.

2 Stärk uns jetzt auf Deinem Pfade,
Daß wir treu Dir folgen nach,
Nicht versäumen Deine Gnade;
Halt uns nüchtern, halt uns wach!
Bis zu jenem neuen Morgen,
