98. With all my powers of hear and tongue

With all my powers of heart and tongue,
I'll praise my Maker in my song;
angels shall hear the notes I raise,
approve the song, and join the praise.
The angels make your church their care;
they’ll witness my devotion there.
I'll sing your truth and mercy, Lord;
I'll sing the wonders of your word.

I cried to you when troubles rose;
you heard me, and subdued my foes;
my fears dispersed through your control,
and strength diffused through all my soul.
Grace will complete what grace begins,
to save from sorrows and from sins;
Work that your wisdom undertakes
eternal mercy ne'er forsakes.
