Lord, give us life divine;
Let every tongue thy praise declare
And all our hearts be thine.

2 Hark! the sweet anthems rise
Where pagan altars stand;
The swelling chorus mounts the skies
From every pagan land.

3 While glad hosannas ring
From desert, rock, and sea;
The heathen tribes their children bring,
And give them, Lord, to thee.
