| Text: | The love of God |

| Tune: | [Fairer than the morning light] |
| Arranger: | I. H. Meredith |
1 Fairer than the morning light,
In its glory shining,
Richer than the treasure bright,
Some rare gem enshrining,
Higher than the nighest star,
Set in yonder heights afar,
So must run the song,
The love of God defining.
2 Deeper than the deepest sea,
Wide as all creation,
Sent to men, whero’er they be,
High or lowly station;
Gift that brings in boundless store
Wealth unknown on earth before,
God’s redeeming love,
A world’s emancipation.
3 Love that reaches young and old,
Love that faileth never,
Gift no evil can withhold,
Tie no sin can sever,
We who know its blessings well,
Sing it while on earth we dwell,
Till we meet above,
To sing it there forever.
