520. Sing to Our God a Song of Cheer

1 Sing to our God a song of cheer
in thanks that all may enter here.
Our doors swing wide to welcome all
who come responding to Christ's call.

2 So come by foot or cane or chair
and join with us in song and prayer,
for though we sit or stand in place
our spirits soar and dance with grace.

3 Though eyes be dim or cannot see,
we welcome what you know that we,
confused or dazzled by the light,
may learn from you through your insight.

4 Although some hear each song or word,
distraction may leave meaning blurred.
Yet hands can speak to eyes that hear
and gentleness makes welcome clear.

5 Christ welcomes all and so do we,
whate'er our limitation be.
Our God in Christ makes all things new,
for God is love unending too.
