Notes: These two stanzas form a frame for the reading of Ps. 44. St. 1 may be sung confidently. St. 2, particularly if sung after the reading of the psalm, should be sung softly, humbly. Lower voices can accompany the melody (sung in parallel fourths) by singing the drone (with a slight scoop and guttural attack), or they may double the treble parts an octave lower.
