PLXVIIa. A Psalm or Song

1 Let GOD be merciful to us,
and with his favour bless,
And let Him on us cause to shine,
the brightness of his face.
2 That so thy way reveal'd to us
all the glad earth may know;
And that thy great salvation Thou,
may'st to all nations show.

3 O GOD, let all the people round,
give praise to thy name;
Let all the people thro' the world
thy highest praise proclaim.
4 O let the nations sing for joy,
and be exceeding glad;
Thou wilt the people rightly judge,
and all the nations lead. (Selah.)

5 O GOD, let all the people round
give praises to thy name;
Let all the people thro' the world
thy highest praise proclaim.
6 And then the fruitful earth around,
shall yield her great increase;
And GOD, the God who is our own,
shall us with plenty bless.

7 Our GOD will greatly bless us all,
who his own people are;
And all the regions of the earth,
shall Him supremely fear.
