Place the turf kindly on her breast;
Sweet be the slumber beneath the sod,
While the pure soul is resting with God.
Peacefully sleep,

Gracefully wave, ye willow boughs;
Flowers of the wildwood, your odors shed
Over the holy, beautiful dead.
