1 When the clouds of doubt appear,
When your faith would turn to fear,
Go to God in earnest prayer,
He will ev’ry burden share.

2 Tho’ discouraged by the way,
Disappointments mar each day,
Ev’ry challenge prayer will meet,

3 When the tempter seeks to win,
Beckons with the wiles of sin,
Prayer will be a refuge sure,
Give you strength then to endure. [Refrain]

4 Pray, believing God will hear,
Know that He is ever near;
Trust the promise of His Word,
