35. Just to Trust

1 Just to trust my blessed Lord, that is all;
Simply trust in ev'ry thing, great of small;
Just to follow were He leads, ever going
On by faith, when of the future not knowing.

2 Just to trust, and yet to ask guidance still;
Take the training or the task, as He will;
Just to take the loss or gain, as He sends it;
Just to take the joy or pain as He lends it.

3 Just to leave in His dear hand little things;
All I cannot understand, all that stings;
Just to let Him take the care sorely pressing,
Finding all I let Him bear changed to blessing.
