128. Salvation By Grace

1 ‘Tis the matchless grace of God, that saves the erring soul from sin,
When by faith it comes to Jesus, life eternal to begin.
For he gave his Son a ransom that salvation we might win;
Let us praise his holy name!

Refrain:
We are saved by the grace of God,
We are cleansed by his precious blood,
Hallelujah, we may all today
Week salvation in the crimson flood.

2 All is done! we need but take the peace that Jesus Christ imparts;
At the door he’s standing knocking, pleads for entrance to our hearts;
See his arms are open waiting, welcome every one who starts;
Let us praise his holy name! [Refrain]

3 O thou Lamb of God, thy gracious love shall never be forgot;
Thou hast loved us with a love abiding, love that changes not;
It was love that bade thee shed thy blood to cleanse each sinful blot;
And we praise his holy name! [Refrain]
