67. My Saviour’s Guiding Hand

1 Passing through this world, a stranger,
Still I know my gracious Guide,
And the Hand that shields from danger,
Whate’er evil may betide.

Jesus’ Hand it is that guides me,
With the scar that shows His love;
Since His guiding Hand He gave me,
All my pathway leads above.

2 From the depths my cry ascended,
From the Heights He bent to hear,
Lifted up, redeemed, befriended,
Jesus’ Hand still keeps me near. [Refrain]

3 Through the path of Pain and Sorrow,
Heavy-laden, sore oppressed,
Pointing to a brighter morrow,
Jesus’ Hand upheld and blessed. [Refrain]

4 Day by day upon me resting,
Leading toward you Better Land,
While the storm and tempest breasting,
Let me feel that guiding Hand. [Refrain]
