13. Lord God, we honor Thee

1 Lord God, we honor Thee And praise Thy mild compassion, That Thou so graciously Dost hear our supplication! Thy love is truly great; Thy mercies are untold; Thou givest food and drink For Spirit, flesh and soul. 2 So now again Thou hast To us a blessing given. Our handiwork is blest By Thy good Word from heaven. Thou blessest food and drink Our needs to satisfy. Therefore, we give Thee thanks; Our song shall rise on high. 3 Thy living Word is sent Our souls to feed and nourish. Thou wilt that in our hearts Thy love and praise we cherish. Thou sheddest light and pow’r Upon our pilgrim way, And lead’st us by Thy hand To heaven day by day. 4 We sing our heartfelt thanks, Thy truth and love adoring. For guidance and for light Thy Spirit we’re imploring. Our hearts we offer Thee For life and ev’ry day, That with Thy grace we tread The straight and narrow way.
