137. Our love shall not diminish

1 Our love shall not diminish Nor fade nor wane away; Bind us till life we finish And in the grave we lay. 2 Our love shall not diminish; It is our Lord’s command, And free us from all blemish, Before our God to stand. 3 Though all this world be fleeting, True love will still abide, And when our journey’s ending, Lord, lead us to Thy side. 4 Yea, greater love shall be there More perfect and complete, When freed from pain and sorrow, Our Lord and God we meet. 5 Earth’s trials and temptations Make true love manifest, To gain for us salvation And heaven’s joy and rest. 6 Pure love leads to perfection, Joy of our soul and guide, Gives us true satisfaction, And leads to heaven’s light.
