Lord, I pray, abide with me.
Come, Thou art my soul’s delight,
And with me do Thou abide.

2 Thousand times I long for Thee;
Nothing else can comfort me;

3 Pleasures on this earth abound,
Yet my heart no joy has found.
But Thy presence, Lord, to me
Shall my joy forever be.

4 To no other be it told
That I would my heart unfold;
Only Thou may enter in,
Only Thou may reign within.

5 Only Thou, O Son of God,
Will I call my crown, my lot;
Thou O Lamb, didst die for me;
Thou my bridegroom e’er shalt be.
