Free Library's Education, Philosophy, and Religion Department has 82 hymnals and 38 books of psalms in their vault. The Rare Books Department's Pennsylvania German collection has: "10 music mss of hymns from Ephrata, P., 1745-62; 3 music mss from Snow Hill Cloister, Franklin County, PA., ca. 1830-80; and 40 ms singing-school books, 1 of them (non- German)…the others mostly Mennonite." We have almost 700 in the music department and another set of about 180 uncatalogued gift hymnals.
