Shaker Collection: More than 4,000 published volumes, 650 manuscript volumes (handwritten pages bound in book form), and approximately 8,000 manuscripts (single-sheet handwritten items). The Shaker Collection contains over 100 bound Shaker music manuscripts and some single-sheet manuscripts, mainly from the eighteenth century, which make use of both letteral and standard music notation. Radical Christian Collection: More than 1,700 published volumes. The Radical Christian Collection contains published hymnals for a few of the represented Christian denominations such as Free Will Baptist, Mormon, Mennonite, and Christian Israelite. Appointments are required. Date range: 17th-20th c.
