Assig, Hans von, was born in Breslau on March 20, 1650. He entered Swedish military service, subsequently served the Electorate of Brandenburg, and ultimately served as Director of the Chamber Office in Schwibus. To him is attributed the hymn "Dreyeinig, heilig, grosser Gott", which he composed for the consecration of the church in Schwibus. He died on August 5, 1694. [Google translate]
