Death Year: 1961

Edith Kent Childs Battle was from St. Louis. She attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans. She married Clifton Hull Battle in 1904 and they moved to Nashville in 1916. She composed many poems and wrote many religious stories for children during most of her adult life. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She died in 1961.
