Death Year: 1835

Freeman, Enoch Weston, p. 389, ii. Freeman was born at Minot, Maine, Dec. 16, 1798. In 1828 he became pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lowell, Massachusetts, where he died suddenly, Sep. 22, 1835. He edited a Selection of Hymns, 1829-31, to which he contributed 7 of his own. Of these, "Hither we come, our dearest Lord," is still in common use.
