Born: February 7, 1860, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Died: October 21, 1945, Chicago, Illinois.

Hibbard was a pioneer in the early years of the American telephone industry. In 1886, he went to New York to become General Superintendent of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company. In 1893, he became General Manager of the Chicago Telephone Company (predecessor of the Illinois Bell Telephone Company), where he served until 1911. He retired in 1915. His works include:
