Born Rotterdam, Sept. 22, 1887, as Julia C. Dirksen; died Jan. 14, 1971, as Julia Isbrucker (she and her husband, Johannes Rijk Gerardus Isbrücker, generally left out the diaresis in their name after World War II). Dutch Esperantist. Co-founder with Andreo Cseh of the Cseh Institute and the Internacia Esperanto-Instituto and, later, of the Universala Ligo, a world federalist organization. Translated Sinterklaas carols in the context of her Esperanto translation of Theo Ramaker's booklet, Sankta Nikolao en Nederlando.
