Taylor, Sarah Ellen. (England, 1883--October 5, 1954). She was born in an English manse, the daughter of a Primitive Methodist clergyman. At nine years of age she came to America. In 1904 she was graduated from Women's College, Brown University. In 1949 she retired after nearly a half century of teaching, which included six years in mission schools at Talladega, Alabama, and Richmond, Virginia.
