1 Beautiful Christmas time
Once more we greet,
Telling in song and chime,
A story sweet—
Story of One who came
From courts above,
That all who hear his name
Might know his love.
Refrain:
The Christmas light shines o’er us,
It lights the way before us,
Sweet bells in silver chorus
Proclaim the glad news of Heav’n!
The angels bright are singing
That Jesus Christ is born,
The angels are singing,
The glad bells are ringing
The birth of Immanuel.
2 Beautiful Christmas day
Of long ago,
Ever upon our way
Thy light shall glow;
Ever thy wonderful
Gladness shall bring
News to a list’ning earth
Of Christ the King. [Refrain]
3 Beautiful Christmas tide
Welcome today,
Speak to our hearts and guide
Each on his way;
Tell of the One who came
From courts above,
That all who hear his name
Might know his love. [Refrain]
